_creating a bootable USB from ISO file

  • first of all, check exactly what the name of the target device you want to copy the image, an good option is the Disk Utility.

  • after that, open the console, go to the folder where you save the ISO and use the DD command:

  • like that: #dd if=CentOS-7-x86_64-Minimal-1611.iso of=/dev/disk2 if= iso file of= usb device name REMEMBER: DD WILL HAVE PLEASURE IN WRITE THE "ISO" IN ANYONE DEVICE TARGET, INCLUDING YOUR SYSTEM DISK, SO... TAKE CARE TO USE DD !!! -when dd finish the copy, the mac_os will try mount the USB and you will saw this windows, this is not an error, just click ignore and takeout your USB
